i'm a
creative and contemporary photographer with a passion
for photographing people. i
love capturing emotions, personalities, feelings – qualities that
make us human. i believe
pictures are closer to truth than words.
i grew up
in southern california,
and live in studio city, ca. i graduated from uc berkeley, and studied photography at ucla. but most things i know about
photography, i learned on my own … by trying and experimenting.
i shoot
digitally. i was a big fan of film, but now
believe digital is superior. i'm passionate about art and technology.
i'm a
photojournalist at heart. i approach weddings and events with a desire to capture
beauty, emotion, and humor. my
style is candid and unobtrusive, yet elegant and artistic. my photographs are unique because
they tell stories; my pictures preserve the moments that make your day
special and unforgettable. i
believe that you can't direct life, so i won't tell you what to do or how to act. my mission is to follow you
discreetly throughout your day, as your historian, to freeze time so each
moment that makes your day special becomes unforgettable.
I
approach portraiture in the same way. i will
not ask you to pose or smile unnaturally. i believe beauty shines the most
when you least expect it, so my goal is to make you feel comfortable in
front of me and my lens. i want to capture photos that frame your
personality. your portrait
should tell the world who you are, not who you want to become.
